The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) was established in October 1994 and is funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Developmental Disabilities and the United States Department of Education, Office of National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
